With around 20 years of experience in healthcare, including 13 years as a cardiology nurse practitioner, Riya Jacob has dedicated her career to caring for patients.
Her experience working with patients facing challenging, unexplained, and rare conditions has deepened her commitment to rare disease advocacy and whole-person healthcare. She believes every patient deserves to be heard, understood, and supported—especially those whose symptoms may not have straightforward answers.
As a Functional Medicine Academy Certified Practitioner (FMACP), Riya wishes to incorporate functional medicine principles to look beyond symptoms and explore the interconnected factors that may influence an individual's health, while recognizing the essential role of conventional medical care and evidence-based treatment.
As a healthcare professional, daughter, wife, and mother of three, she brings both clinical experience and personal compassion to her work. Her goal is to advocate for patients, promote greater health understanding, and help individuals navigate complex health journeys with education, compassion, and hope.
