I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) prepared Nurse Practitioner with experience in Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). I am passionate about advancing healthcare through education, research, and patient advocacy. In 2023, as part of my DNP program, I conducted research focused on improving knowledge of anticoagulation therapy adherence among patients with atrial fibrillation to help reduce stroke risk.
I have served as a speaker at the 4th World Congress on Primary Health Care Summit and as a member of a UNESCO international panel in 2020. As an international speaker, including a recent speaking engagement in Mauritius, I am committed to sharing healthcare knowledge and promoting evidence-based practice. In recognition of my commitment to patient care, I was recognized by Emirates Airlines in 2023 for assisting an unwell passenger during a flight.
I serve as Editorial Chair for the Indian Nurses Association of South Florida and as an Editorial Committee Member of the National Association of Indian Nurses of America. I am passionate about raising awareness of rare diseases, educating communities, supporting patients and families, advancing research, and advocating for equitable access to healthcare.
